NEITHER HERE NOR THERE!

We hope you had a nice summer, weather as expected and crowds at the sea or in pools in tolerable sizes!

Our staff enjoyed all the above in a staggered schedule, naturally, since we are open 24/7!  Remember, if your clients need to contact us, we are reachable 24hours a day, 7 days a week. An important fact if a client needs confirmation, reassurance or just holding hands!  The person to contact, including his or her phone number, is on the program given to you and/or the client.

Continuously we find useful and interesting information on facilities, destinations and events to be plugged in a program of professionals on a visit to our continent. Often these events are too special or to marginal to deserve a newsletter by itself. So, here a list of some events you can offer to the “right” client:

-Antique Tractor Shows, yearly in Missouri, New Jersey, New York State, Long Island NY and other places in the nation! Many farmers, agricultural specialists and fans of old machinery would love to include a visit to one of the shows.

-Montreal International Fireworks Competition; a yearly summer event. For two months, the best fireworks are displayed every Saturday and on three Wednesdays on the banks of the St Lawrence River. This year’s invited countries were Australia, Austria, China, Italy, Portugal and South Korea.

-Rail to Trail. Over the last 50 years, thousands of railroad lines in North America were eliminated. Many tracks were removed and refurbished as trails. The result, beautiful, often shady, hiking or cycling trails over miles and miles of stunning landscape. Add a few days to your next meeting and enjoy these trails on bicycle or on foot. They are all over the country, from Florida to South Dakota, from Maine to California.

-Urban Archaeology. Salvaged building material is often saved from the wrecker because there is value and beauty in the objects. From wooden spiral staircases, fully equipped old bars and barbershops to cast iron bathtubs, all kind of objects are for sale in warehouses, large and small yards, depots or stores. They make a nice excursion for a visitor wanting to know how America looked and functioned years ago. These yards are everywhere on our continent, ask for a location and we will try to “dig one up” for you!

-Baseball Fan? Cooperstown NY is not only the home of the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum; there is a Farmers’ Museum an Art Museum, beautiful scenery with Otsego Lake and great, old or new style hotels and restaurants to be enjoyed. It will make a nice excursion from New York City or a stop-over on the way to Niagara Falls or Toronto.

-Roller Coasters (Grand Huit, Achterbahn, Montaña Rusa). We can arrange a visit to the boldest, meanest, scariest and newest roller coaster to shake up your meetings a bit. But, not everyone wants a faster, higher more daring sensation when riding a roller coaster.

We can also arrange visits to amusement parks in bucolic settings, featuring old fashioned wooden roller coasters cutting through the green landscape. We can include a special picnic to give your clients that country feeling!

-After having successfully handled several very demanding groups in the Hotel Gansevoort in the very “in” Meat Packing District in New York City we were checking around for other fine hotels to be used for your groups in up and coming areas of Manhattan. We found several new and very interesting hotels in the “East Village”, the old hippy haunts of New York City. We will keep you posted!

Contact us if you can use any of the above and we will get cracking!

Sincerely

B Fischer
