BBQ

We all travel because we expect our destinations to be different from the daily routine. We are eager or at least willing to experience new things, new sights and experiences; we search for the typical and unique of the visited land.

The “typical” is sometimes not easy to offer in North America. Except for the Native Americans, we are all immigrants to this continent.  Our customs are often the same as the ones of the land we came from. One area we are different and unique is in the custom of BBQ, Barbecue; our cooked, slowly smoked meats. It’s not grilling or simple roasting, BBQ is unique, a typical American food form. It started as “barbacoa”, a cooking method of the American Indians, modified by the early Spanish and perfected over time by the various “pit bosses” of Bar-B-Q places.

So, if you like tasty meat, roasted, slowly smoked, you want to plan a tour of the many “Barbecue” pits located all over the country.  BBQ is usually not fancy but it’s good and plentiful and in addition, the “Blues”, good vibes, are usually not far from a BBQ pit!

With your next group, next meeting plan a barbecued side of beef at one of the top Barbecue pits of the country. Or simply add a visit for a meal to one of the many BBQ restaurants along the traveled route of your itinerary! Some of the best pits are in the South of the USA; specialized more in Pork BBQ in the South East and more beef oriented in the South West. We have a list of over 50 first-rate Bar-B-Que restaurants to offer, 20 in Texas alone!

Tell us when and where to reserve your side of ribs or order of brisket!

May the New Year hold lots of pleasant surprises for you!
