SAND IN YOUR EYES
“North America,
a Beach Destination!”
In the rest
of the world we are not generally known for our beaches and as a beach
destination. Except for the beaches of Florida, Hawaii and the
southern part of California, we are known for
skyscrapers, industry, corn fields and the
Grand Canyon. But we are a beach
destination. From Cape Cod near Boston with
Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket Islands, to the southern tip of Florida there is one continuous beach. The
Gulf of Mexico coast from Brownsville in Texas to Key West in Florida has mostly
wonderful beaches. So, the choice is miles and miles of empty, romantic beaches
or beaches with all facilities that resort towns have to offer.
Canadians
from the Eastern Provinces have discovered the sun drenched beaches of New Jersey and the Carolinas.
Bostonians
use “their” Cape Cod as the summer recreation
playground. From fancy to basic, from “Kennedy” exclusive to “MacDonald”
common, this area offers it all.
New Yorkers
stream to the beaches of New Jersey and Long
Island from the fancy Hamptons
with its million dollar mansions
to Jones Beach,
accessible by train from Manhattan.
There is space for millions of sun worshippers and still enough space to find
lonely, empty stretches of shores.
The coasts
of Virginia, North and South
Carolina and Georgia
are a beachcomber and fishermen’s paradise. Whether it is the
lonely beauty of the Outer Banks or the hustle and bustle of beach towns such
as Myrtle Beach
these superb shores attract thousand of Americans in summer! The highly developed tourism infrastructure adds
to the value of these areas. If one had too much sun, there is always Charleston, Savannah, Norfolk or Atlantic
City to visit!
The superb
beaches south of Corpus Christi on the Gulf of Mexico are worth a visit, even in winter! East of New Orleans to the coast near Tallahassee, are some of
the finest beaches of the Gulf. From exclusive and fancy to very affordable,
all tourism services are represented. Many Americans have discovered these
shores and enjoy a day at the beach and a night in a casino.
Enough
said! Next time your client complains
about polluted and crowded beaches, tell them that you know beaches that are
pure, clean and affordable in America.
See you at
the beach!
Sincerely,
B. Fischer
