VISITING AMERICA

When our company was founded in 1973, tourists visiting North America were not too common and many travel suppliers on this continent were not even aware that such a market existed. To be clear about our activities, we chose, as a Company name "Visit America".

Looking at history, we realized that Columbus and his crew were the first tourists to this continent. They came, looked around and went back. Our T-shirts, declaring "Visit America, Since 1492" are therefore not lying!

Yes, we know that the Vikings visited North America much earlier. But did they leave after the visit? Were they immigrants, not tourists?

In 1536 Captain Richard Hore, departed England on the first known excursion and sightseeing tour to North America. This tour didn't work out as well as the tours we now operate: By the time they reached Newfoundland they had run out of food. The English tourists were not happy with the food the crew was able to scrounge from nature. Only the passing of a French boat, providing food and transportation, prevented a riot or worse!

Now, if you or your group visits North America, we make sure transportation is assured throughout the planned tour. Food will be abundant and varied reflecting the taste and desire of the client and his budget.
