We
live at a time when a leisurely stroll in the park is not everybody’s idea of
fun. While we gladly help you arrange
relaxing and casual leisure activities, may it be a walk in a city park or a
hike in a national park, many of you want something more adventuresome for your
clients.
How about climbing trees?
How about learning how to climb trees? “Vertical Meditation”, as they call it,
is an exciting and growing hobby of many arborists, rock climbers and environmentalists.
It’s safer and less cold than climbing a frozen waterfall (which we offer too
in winter!!) For less than 500 dollars your guests will learn how to climb a
tree, do tree dancing, do vertical meditation and will get a certificate, all
in one weekend. We can offer instructions in schools on the East Coast, in the
Rockies or out West!
If “Tree Climbing” is still not adventurous or speedy enough for
your clients, maybe sliding down mountains, (possible during the entire year),
is your “thing”. “Zip” lines are now installed all over the West of North
America and the number of “Zip” lines keeps increasing monthly. All you need is
a rock-climber’s harness and the courage to step off the platform to speed down
the mountain on a cable. If you want to do “zipping” at night, you may also
need a headlamp. Most “Zip” lines are located in ski resorts: making it easy to
reach the top of the line or mountain with a chair lift. Bold “zippers” speed
down mountains at 45mph (70km/h) to 55mph (90km/h) and some do it even upside
down!
So, sign up! Put a little
spice into your next convention! Have
the next incentive group rave about such an experience!
