New York proclaims
itself "Parade Town USA" and
hosts some of the best parades in the world.
You know, the kind of street parades with music, floats, strutting dancers
and beauties, some politicians, horse drawn carriages, marching bands and plain
folks. New York is “Parade Town USA”
par excellence, given the large number of parades each year and what a variety
of parades!
There are parades in New
York as diverse as there are people from different backgrounds living here:
From the "Brazil Day Parade" to the "Steuben Parade", from
the "Norwegian Day Parade", "West Indian American Day
Carnival" to the "Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade". Parades are
taking place all year round, but naturally, most are held during the spring,
summer and fall season. And the best thing about watching a parade - it is for
free!
The next time your groups'
destination is New York City and your guests will spend a weekend in town, we
invite you to check with us about attending a parade.
Tell us when your next event
or group will be in New York City and we will tell you if a parade will be
taking place during that time.
Here the next parades:
March 17, 2005 St.
Patrick's Day Parade
March 27, 2005 The Annual Easter Parade
April 2, 2005 Seventh Annual Scottish Tartan Day
Parade
